The sightseeing tour in Warsaw begins with a drive along the famous Royal Route - starting from magnificent Castle Square and leading to Lazienki Park and Palace, the former summer residence of Poland's last king. Along the way, you will pass notable landmarks such as the Palace of Science and Culture - known as the wedding cake, Saxon Gardens, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Monument to the Heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto, and the Barbican. Afterward, enjoy a walking tour of the charming Old Town, including the Old Market Square and St. John's Cathedral. The rest of the day is free for shopping, exploring the city, relaxing in parks or gardens, or optionally attending a late afternoon Chopin concert. (B) Day 3, Thursday, to Vilnius Today, we depart Warsaw and drive through the picturesque Polish countryside, passing cities and towns, as we make our way to Vilnius, Lithuania where we will arrive in the evening. In Old Vilnius, visit the baroque St. Peter and St. Paul's Church, as well as the impressive St. Anne's Church. Discover Vilnius University, founded in 1570, and admire Gediminas' Tower and Vilnius Castle. The afternoon is free for further exploration or an optional excursion to the tranquil town of Trakai - known for its stunning setting on three lakes.
