GEIRANGERFJORD Day 5 - Thursday: Nordfjord to Bergen Today, our journey will take us to the Fjærland area where we admire the most spectacular the Jostedalsbreen glacier, namely the Boyabreen by Fjærland. We continue towards the longest and deepest fjord in Norway, the second largest in the world, Sognefjord, the King’s Fjord. We’ll cross this majestic stretch of water from Mannheller to Fodness, from where we’ll head to Flam, passing through the Lærdal Tunnel, one of the longest tunnels in the world at 15 miles long. Arriving in Bergen, one of the most beautiful port cities in Norway. (Breakfast Included) Day 6 - Friday: Bergen The morning will be dedicated to visiting the city of Bergen, traveling back in time through the narrow, dark, and mysterious streets of Bryggen, the former Hanseatic historic harbor district, listed in the UNESCO World Heritage. We will visit the Fish Market with its lively picturesque atmosphere, one of the most visited open-air markets in Norway. Afternoon at leisure, time for individual sightseeing and shopping. (Breakfast Included) Day 7 - Saturday: Bergen via Hardangerfjord to Oslo We head today to Sognefjord, the “king” of western Norway’s fjords and Hardangerfjord is the “queen”. We will make a short stop at Steinsdalsfossen, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Norway. We will continue our journey and visit the Voringsfossen Waterfall, the highest in Norway. On towards Geilo, crossing the Hardangervidda Plateau, the largest high-altitude plateau in Europe. Hardangervidda is Norway’s largest national park known for its incredibly beautiful landscapes, but also for its herds of wild reindeer. Early in the evening we reach again the capital of Norway. Overnight. (Breakfast Included) Day 8 - Saturday: Bergen via Hardangerfjord to Oslo After breakfast, we will transfer you to Oslo airport.
