General condıtıons for escorted tours Guaranteed land price Every effort is made to maintain prices as published, but fluctuating exchange rates may necessitate price changes, the current price will be confirmed at the time of booking, and will be guaranteed no to increase upon receipt of deposit. Guaranteed departures All our departures are guaranteed, and as booking progress, we add more guaranteed dates. If a guaranteed departure is essential to your clients, check with us at the time of booking. We will do all possible to assist you. Bookings and deposit All bookings must be made in writing. In order to get confirmation of booking, booking form has to be filled in. All additional changes must also be made in writing and marked clearly on the original booking form where original booking was made. Your booking will be confirmed immediately in most cases. A deposit of $200 per person must be received within 7 days of reservations, at which Time an invoice will be issued showing deposit received. The balance is due 45 days prior to tour departure. If deposit is not received, the booking will be assumed canceled. For late bookings (less Than 30 days prior to departure), full payment is required at the time of booking. Delayed arrival Since we are land operator and do not provide airfare tickets we do not cover any refunds for missed flights and subsequently late start/ no start of the tour. All additional costs have to be settled on the spot by passengers. We recommend that in case of delay client’s call at the emergency phone that is the travel documents Health requirements Tour participants should check with the consulates and local health boards for the latest health requirements. No medical expenses will be covered for illnesses that occur prior to arrival or on the tour. Special needs travelers Any disability requiring special attention must be reported at the time of booking. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the special needs of disabled participants; however we are not responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, restaurants, motor coaches, mini buses, vans and cars are note quipped with wheelchair ramps. We cannot provide individual assistance to a tour member for walking, dining, getting on/off transportation vehicles, or other personal needs. Travelers who need assistance must be accompanied by a qualified and physically able companion. Tour membership In order to ensure congenital membership, Kompas erasers the right to accept or reject any person as tour participant and to expel from the tour any participant whose conduct is deemed incompatible with the interests of the tour group Young tour participants Tour participants under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult: they receive a 10% discount on the escorted tour land price. On escorted tours, we do not accept children under the age of 8 years because we have found that they are too young to enjoy these vacations. Accompanying adults are responsible for the safety of their children, including to provide any necessity safety equipment (such as infant /child seat) where appropriate. On our Adriatic small ship cruises following reductions apply. • 3rd adult sharing a room: 30% • Child (age 3-7 yrs) sharing a cabin with 2 adults: 70% • Child (age 8-14 yrs) sharing a cabin with 2 adults: 50% • Child (age 3-15 yrs) in twin, with 1 adult: 20% Program prices Program prices are per person, based on two persons sharing a room. Single room supplements and triple room reductions are listed where applicable. Transfers are provided complementary from airports, harbors, etc to hotels and vice versa by motor coach or private car only on first and last day as per itinerary under condition that accurate transfer information is provided. Accommodation The hotels classified in Kompas brochure are based on local classifications, which vary from country to country. Hotels listed in this brochure will be used on almost all departures. If changes become necessary for any reason, substitute hotels will be similar to those in the brochure. While every effort is made to reserve twin bedded rooms, it may happen that a hotel provides some double bedded rooms instead. If such thing happens, double bedded rooms will be allocated to couples triple share rooms are generally based on an extra rollaway bed, which is not always suitable for adults. Please note that standard policy is that hotel rooms are available for check in after 13:00. Early check in needs to be advised in advance. Also please note that Kompas cannot guarantee that early check in will be free of charge, since the standard policy is that early check in requires a pre night to be booked and paid for. Transfers Transfers are provided as indicated for each tour by car, minibus or motor coach. If you deviate from the arrival and/or departure dates as stated in the itinerary, you may purchase the transfer service prior your final tour payment date. Your arrival transfer is guaranteed for up to one hour from your scheduled arrival time in order to compensate for minor delays. Kompas or the transfer company will not be responsible for flights delays, for any reason, beyond one hour from your originally scheduled arrival time. In case of a delay, whether due to flight delays or time spent reporting baggage damage or loss, it will be your responsibility to make other transfer arrangements such as a taxi. Transfer costs are not refundable and any additional expenses will be your responsibility. Smoking Smoking is not allowed on motor coaches or minibuses. Local holidays During national holidays certain facilities (museums, restaurants, sightseeing tours and shopping) may be limited or unavailable. Alternatives will be offered whenever possible. Luggage Porterage for one suitcase included in program price. No responsibility is accepted for loss or damage to baggage or passenger belongings. Lost luggage All lost luggage on connecting flights are not responsibility of land operator. We do not guarantee that the luggage will be found and delivered to assigned hotel. We will provide assistance on the spot (through our tour director and local offices) that will help the passenger communicate with air company. Travel documents No responsibility is accepted for loss of or damage to travel documents or any of passenger’s belongings. Passports and visas A valid passport is required of all tour participants. All passengers regardless of the passport they hold should check with the appropriate consulates to determine is any visas are needed. Securing any needed visas is the responsibility of the tour participant Refunds for unused services: No refunds will be made for unused services once travel arrangements have commenced. Service inquiries after the tour If after returning from the tour you wish to inquire about any tour services provided, please ensure that all correspondence relating to those services is received by Kompas within 30 days after the tour completion date. Changes to itineraries: If necessary for any reason beyond Kompas control, Kompas can amend or cancel any of the arrangements for particular itinerary. Should insufficient numbers book the tour Kompas can close the departure. Cancellation policy All cancellations must be made in writing. Booked accommodation can be substituted only by an accommodation unit of the same or higher category and at the price confirmed during booking, provided that customer is notified ahead of time. Group booking on schedule tours The most efficient, economical and profitable way to operate your group Tour is to book into one of our schedule departures. Our buying power will immediately be to your benefit, and our itineraries are tested and proven to be the best combination of Touring, city stays and leisure Time. Our escorts are the best and have worked with us for many years. Our motor coaches are the finest. Kompas will block space for your group on our published itineraries, subject to availability. With less than 30 paying passengers, your group will travel with other Kompas passengers. With 30 or more paying passengers, you may have the exclusive use of the motor coach and tour conductor. If you have planned for exclusive use and the number of passengers falls below the minimum of 30 passengers required, Kompas reserves the right to book additional passengers to the party. At the Time of booking, a fully refundable deposit of $1.000 for exclusive use or $500 for non-exclusive use is required. Additional deposits of $100 per person are required, as each member is booked. The first review date is 90 days prior to departure. At 60 days prior to departure, any space not under deposit will revert back to Kompas. The rooming list due date is approximately 60 days prior to departure. This is the latest date space may be released without forfeiture of deposit. It is extremely important that on or before the rooming list due date you contact us and advise the names of passengers booked to date. If all space has not been sold, your options will be as follows: a) Provide us with names and continue to book on space available basis. b) Provide us with the names booked to date. If you wish to hold unsold space, at your own risk you decide on the total number of seats you expect to fill. We will hold this space for you on receipt of your guarantee of $200 per seat for any unsold seats. This is non-refundable. Final payment is due 30 days prior to departure. Kompas provides 1 free in Twin accommodations for each 20 paying passengers. Tour Escort If your own tour escort accompanies the group, it should be understood that The Kompas escort is in complete charge for that portion of the trip operated by Kompas. He/she will most happily work and confer with your tour escort, but announcements to the group and decision making must be left to the Kompas tour escort. Please understand that this cooperation is necessary only to avoid conflicting information given to tour members, which could interfere with the tour. It should also be noted that the Kompas Tour escort couldn’t make alterations or deviations to the itinerary at the request of your group escort.
