DAY 1: Dubrovnik
Your host will meet you at the airport and transfer
you to your hotel. The balance of the day is at

DAY 2: Dubrovnik
Walking tour of "Old Dubrovnik" this morning; the
Rector’s Palace, Bell Tower clock, Orlando’s Column
and the Sponza Palace. You will also see the
Dominican Monastery and Franciscan Monastery. The
rest of the day is at leisure. (B,O)
DAY 3: Dubrovnik
Full day at leisure.

DAY 4: Split
Departure and travel north along the spectacular
Adriatic coast, past old fishing villages and new
resorts, to Split. Enjoy a city tour featuring the
historic inner city, built around Roman Emperor
Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural
Heritage site. See remnants of Split’s Roman
heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures,
Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle and the Cathedral.

DAY 5: Trogir and Plitvice Lakes
After breakfast, we head north along the coast to
Trogir, a center of artistic activities. Our journey
continues as we turn inland towards the beautiful
Plitvice Lakes National Park, listed in UNESCO’s
World Heritage list. Upon arrival we will take the
walking tour around several of the lower lakes and
enjoy the breathtaking scenery of this natural

DAY 6: Plitvice - Zagreb and Ljubljana
Morning departure to Zagreb and morning City Tour to
the historic Upper Town, to see the St. Mark’s
Church, the St. Catherine’s Church, the Cathedral,
the Parliament and the Government Palace Afterwards,
our journey continues to Ljubljana, the thriving
capital of Slovenia. Dinner at local restaurant. 280

DAY 7: Ljubljana
Morning sightseeing tour of the most significant
sights of the old city centre: the open-air Central
Market and the Three Bridges, both works of Joze
Plecnik, a famous 20th-century architect, Baroque
Town Hall and Robba's Fountain. Balance of the day
at leisure for optional activities, such as visiting
beautiful Alpine resort Bled. Overnight in

DAY 8: Ljubljana - Venice
While traveling to Venice, visit of the largest
caves in Europe, Postojna Cave, a fantastic
subterranean world, by miniature electric train

DAY 9: Venice
Today begins with a sightseeing tour Venice. Start
your walking tour in St. Mark’s Square, visit St.
Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace, and view the
Bell Tower and Bridge of Sighs. Also visit a glass
blowing factory where you will see the demonstration
of a traditional Venetian glass blowing. Balance of
the day is at leisure. Enjoy Venice at your own pace,

DAY 10: Venice - Ferrara - Pisa - Florence
Drive to Ferrara, a renaissance gem in the Emilia-Romagna
region standing on the banks of the Po River.
Orientation tour with your Tour Director. Continue
to Pisa to view the famous Piazza del Miracoli with
its Leaning Tower, the Baptistery and Duomo. End
your day in Florence with dinner in your hotel. 450

DAY 11: Florence
Today’s morning city tour begins at the majestic
Piazza del Duomo to see the Cathedral crowned by
Brunelleschi’s Dome, the Giotto’s Bell Tower, and
the Baptistery with Ghiberti’s bronze “Gate of
Paradise”. Then, visit the Academy of Fine Arts, and
the Piazzale Michelangelo with the most spectacular
view over Florence. Remainder of the day is at
leisure to independently savor the renaissance

DAY 12: Florence - Sienna - Assisi - Rome
Traveling towards Rome through the stunning panorama
of Tuscany, stop in the beautiful city of Sienna for
a stroll to the Piazza del Campo and St. Dominic's
Church. Afterwards, travel through Umbria to Assisi
for a walking tour of the main square and a visit to
the Basilica of St. Francis. Continue to Rome for

DAY 13: Rome
A full day sightseeing tour shows you all the
highlights of the Eternal city. Visit the Vatican
Museums with Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica,
the Colosseum, ancient Palatine Hill overlooking the
Circus Maximus and the Imperial Palace, and the
Roman Forum. In the evening, take walking tour with
your tour director to Trevi Fountain, Plazza Navona

DAY 14: Rome
A full day free in spectacular Rome. Ask your Tour
Director for suggestions. You might want to visit
some of the wonderful shops, galleries and museums,
or relax in a sidewalk café. An optional excursion
to Pompeii is available. Tonight, a farewell dinner
in a local restaurant, complete with wine and music,
is the perfect way to celebrate your glimpse of

DAY 15: depart Rome
Morning transfer to Rome airport. Your homebound
flight arrives the same day. (B)
