Overview:  

This superb excursion offers an opportunity to visit the finest pearls of the Baltic, five charming cities with much in common, but each proudly and visibly different. The tour showcases splendid mixes of architectural styles, from the stunning Art Nouveau of Riga and Helsinki to the medieval delights of Vilnius, from the quaint cobbled alleyways of Stockholm’s old town to the glorious masterpieces of imperial Russia in St Petersburg. The tour incorporates free time in Riga and Helsinki to afford additional opportunities to get to know their treasures or treat yourself to a little shopping. With fine cuisine and first class guides, it is an outstanding chance to see some of Europe’s best sights.    

Itinerary

Touring: Helsinki - Stockholm - Riga - Tallinn - St. Petersburg

Day 1: Helsinki
Arrival at Helsinki Airport, followed by a scenic city coach tour. Evening transfer by coach for your overnight cruise across the sea to wonderfully diverse and lively Stockholm. (D, O)  

Day 2: Stockholm - overnight cruise - Riga
After breakfast, a fascinating guided tour of Stockholm takes us to famous sights like the Royal Palace, the gorgeous island of Djurgården, the Old Town with its narrow cobbled streets and numerous antique shops, and the fine City Hall with its famous Blue and Golden Rooms. Overnight cruise to Riga. (B,D,O)  

Day 3: Riga
Our spectacular scenic drive features UNESCO World Heritage Site Riga’s best sights, such as its splendid medieval old town and stunning Art Nouveau architecture. Your afternoon is free to further explore this tremendous city on the Baltic. Overnight in Riga. (B, D, O)  

Day 4: Riga - Parnu - Tallinn
Our coach takes us to the lovely Estonian spa, health and beach resort of Parnu, known as Estonia's Summer Capital. After a brief tour we proceed to beautiful Tallinn, where we have a panoramic city tour of the highlights of Estonia’s capital. (B, D, O)  

Day 5: Tallinn – St. Petersburg
We continue via Narva, dominated by its 15th-century Hermann castle with a 51-metre-high tower to adorable St Petersburg where we arrive in the late afternoon. A panoramic tour of this spectacular city at the head of the Gulf of Finland follows. (B, D, O)  

Day 6: St. Petersburg
A guided tour of Russia’s finest city features its main boulevard Nevsky Prospekt, lined with the marble palaces of Russian royalty and aristocracy, as well as the city’s most splendid architectural masterpieces such as the glorious Winter Palace and the ancient Peter & Paul Fortress. Day 7: St. Petersburg - Vyborg - Helsinki
Morning departure via pretty Vyborg to Helsinki. Your afternoon is free to explore this fine city featuring numerous Art Nouveau treasures at your leisure, and perhaps indulge in a little shopping. (B, D, O)  

Day 8: Helsinki
Transfer to Helsinki airport. (B)
