Description
Sarajevo is the
capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Sarajevo is very well
remembered for its organisation of the Winter
Olympics of 1984. It offers a rich variety of
cultural, religious, and architectural reliquary.
Bascarcija, in the heart of the Old town is a
picturesque area of original small streets built in
the Turkish style, and reflecting traditions in its
crafts of metal, stone, glass, and leather goods, in
abundance.
Sarajevo offers sight-seeing across its many
museums, bridges, religious monuments, e.g. its
original mosques, synagogues, and its orthodox and
catholic churches.
