Description
We travel from Mostar,
south by the river banks of Neretva to some swamps
in Croatia. These are unique in their rich wild life
of plants, fish and birds. To take full advantage of
the exquisite wealth of the nature and enjoy the
variety of the scenery, we take a boat trip by local
canal. There will be optional visits to the
ornithological museum in Metkovic, with its
collection of more than 220 different birds. Here we
are also in the area where the remains of the walls,
temple and forum remains of the Narone Roman
Settlement were found. This site is located in Vid
where the Neretva has buried the Roman remains in
its sediments for many centuries.
