Description
Visit Pannonia, where tradition is still alive
Some centuries ago, there were over 40 floating
mills on the Mura River, and you can still visit
some of them on your way through Prekmurje. You will
cross a river on one of the four "brods" still
floating, visit the "Bürjaški" museum on the "Island
of Love" and also taste a Bürjaška meal. Next, you
will have a chance to see the straw wickerworkers at
work and get to know the tradition of the potter's
trade in the village of Filovci. In Bogojina you
will see one of the many masterpieces of the famous
Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik − the parish church
of Christ’s Assumption.
The next stop on our journey is the town of Gornja
Radgona, famous for its sparkling wines. You will
take a tour around the Radgona wine cellar and taste
some of the best sparkling wines in Slovenia.
